Winning Streaks In Video Poker
Winning streaks are commonly held to be an important part of any game of chance, and the same is also true of video poker. Many video poker players have attributed a string of extraordinary successes in the game due to this occurrence, and it has only served to fuel belief in winning streaks among other video poker players who may not have had a chance to encounter such luck yet.
Unfortunately, for every one video poker player who can claim having built a series of wins based on a winning streak, there are far more players who keep on playing in the hopes of this happening to them but have been largely unsuccessful, and perhaps even losing inordinate amount of money in the process.
The fact is, as much as we would all like to believe that certain video poker machines have been programmed with periodic winning or losing “streaks”, this belief is largely a myth. We can tell you with all certainty that all legitimate video poker machines are totally random in the card selection process and that there is just as much chance of several wins occurring one after the other as there of being long periods with no wins.
